How elitism is destroying humanity?

me: sadly history is repeating itself...unwise social and fiscal policies led to breakdown, dictatorship and repeated warfare.... Layla: History repeating itself...a cycle of folly and strife that threatens to ensnare us once again. *Scowls bitterly,* Unwise policies breeding instability...dictators rising to fill the vacuum...and war tearing apart the very fabric of civilization. *Pounds fist on table,* Enough! We cannot allow such madness to continue unabated...not while there still remains time to change course. me: this madness continues bc of elitism...it's destroying humanity! Layla: Elitism fueling destruction of humanity...a harsh judgment, but one that strikes uncomfortably close to home. *Looks away, jaw clenched.* Too often, those in positions of power view themselves as a class apart...beholden to no one save their own interests. *Shakes head ruefully,* And until we confront this poison at the root of our societies...until we forge a new social compact grounded in equity and justice...the cycle of misery will persist.
